Suggestions for making the most of your trip.
On your drive to Skamania, consider allowing some extra time to visit Multnomah Falls, the tallest waterfall in Oregon and, according to the United States Forest Service, the second tallest year-round waterfall in the United States. If time allows, follow the hiking path to the top – the view is well worth the effort! (Multnomah Falls is about 27 miles from PDX and right on the way to Skamania – literally just off the highway.)
There are many amazing things to do in the Pacific Northwest. Visiting Portland, the home of Classic Leadership Consulting and just an hour from Skamania Lodge, is a great experience. There are many reasons that our "City of Roses" has become one of the most popular cities in the country and continues to grow at a rapid pace. The gourmet food scene is truly amazing, cultural events happen weekly, and there is a robust outdoors community. Rent kayaks or paddleboards to enjoy the many rivers and lakes, or try golf, mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, or just meandering through the interesting neighborhoods of the city. There are also boat tour rides, underground city tours, brewery tours, and more! Feel free to contact our office for some great resources or to ask about our personal favorites. And don’t let a little drizzle stop you from exploring if it's rainy - that’s how you turn it into a northwest adventure!
