Frequently Asked Questions for CLI Training

What do I need to do to attend?

  • Fill out our CLI online registration form (click "Register" on the main menu bar)

  • Select the appropriate program number from the drop-down menu on the registration form

  • Send payment (payable to "Classic Leadership Inc") to our office:
    Classic Leadership
7410 SW Oleson Rd, PMB #243
    Portland, OR 97223

Where is it held?

CLI is held at the beautiful Skamania Lodge in the Columbia River Gorge. The address is:  1131 SW Skamania Lodge Way, Stevenson, WA 98648. Phone number:  509-427-7700

What should I bring?

Bring an open attitude and lots of energy! Our lodging partner, Skamania Lodge, will do their best to help you feel at home. Skamania has many hiking trails, a large pool and a relaxing outdoor “hot springs” so comfortable walking shoes and a swimsuit are recommended. You may even want to consider arriving a day early or staying a day late to enjoy their beautiful golf course, or book a service in the wonderful spa. Meals are provided, but it never hurts to pack a few of your favorite snacks. Lastly, an umbrella may come in handy.

What should I wear?

Business casual to casual is fine (denim is acceptable), and comfortable walking shoes are advised. Wear whatever you will be comfortable in for a long day of interaction and play (skirts and dresses are not recommended, especially during Phase III). You are up in the mountains, so packing layers is a good idea.

What time does the week start and when does it end?

Phases I and III begin on a Tuesday in the early afternoon. Depending on the hotel's occupancy the night before, your room may or may not be ready when you arrive, but the staff will make every effort to have you into your room as soon as possible. The concierge will hold your luggage, as needed, until you can move into your room.

Both phases end on Friday soon after lunch. The exact departure time will depend on your group and your projects, but you should be on your way back into the real world by 2:00 pm.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation within 60 days of the program will require a forfeiture of 50% of the program fee ($1950.00, payable to Classic Leadership Inc.). Organizations may substitute a replacement attendee (for the same session) without penalty. If the program for which the attendee cancelled attains full registration as of the first day of the program, CLI will reimburse the forfeiture fee for a cancellation (less a $200 administration charge) within 30 days of the first day of the program.
